Our Mission
The mission of the Christian Education Ministry at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, McDonough is to actively support spiritual formation and growth for children, youth, and adults through age-appropriate instruction, resources, and development opportunities. In doing so, we will fulfill our mission of restoring People to Wholeness and making disciples for Jesus Christ. Opportunities include short and long-term classes for all age groups through Sunday school and weekday studies.
Vision
To increase our understanding of God through Jesus Christ, by providing educational opportunities to people of every age. Provide small group and continuing education experience for adults; develop learning experiences for children from infancy through young adulthood; provide Christian education opportunities for our community with studies that will bring us to wholeness as we grow, connect and serve.
Mission Opportunities
Servant volunteers are provided the opportunities to teach, assist, and attend yearly training to enhance classroom effectiveness, coordinate or direct vacation Bible school, Confirmation classes, Sunday school teachers, special studies teachers, workshops leaders, curriculum development, and community and church registration for special events, design and create advertisements and participate in community outreach.

Volunteer Opportunities
There are volunteer opportunities available in Children’s church on Sunday mornings, facilitators and assistant facilitators for special course offers, hall monitors, parent chaperones during yearly confirmation and Vacation Bible School, event organizers, administrative assistance, advertising and announcements, shopping for materials, yearly course planners, coordinators and many more.
The Christian Education ministry has a place for everyone!
